in course of preparation is to be acquired,
(d) if so, who is to pay for it,
(e) who is to pay for the cost of the work
already put in hand, namely, £4,400.
What we want to do is to arrive at an
understanding between ourselves on these points
before referring again to the Committee of
Imperial Defence, on whose authority alone they
can be definitely settled.
